Places to visit in Tuscany

Hotel Kadampa Italy is an ideal base from which to explore the enchanting towns and villages of Tuscany.
Tuscany is rich in history dating back thousands of years. Hotel Kadampa is located close to the ancient sites of Carrara, Pisa, Florence and many other places of interest:
Pisa is famous for its Leaning Tower which is but one of many architecturally and artistically important structures in the city’s Campo dei Miracoli or “Field of Miracles”. Here you will find the delightful Duomo (Cathedral), the Baptistry and the Camposanto (monumental cemetery).
Florence best-known for its architectural jewel, Santa Maria del Fiore, the spectacular domed cathedral of the city and the Campanile tower. Both are open to tourists and offer excellent views across this ancient city. The Uffizi “palace” gallery, one of the worlds oldest and most famous art galleries, can also be found in Florence.
At the heart of the city in Piazza della Signoria is Bartolommeo Ammanati’s Fountain of Neptune, which is a masterpiece of marble sculpture at the terminus of a still functioning Roman aqueduct.
Carrara marble has been famous since the time of Ancient Rome; the Pantheon and Trajan’s Column in Rome are constructed of it. Many famous sculptures of the Renaissance, such as Michelangelo’s David, were carved from Carrara marble. For Michelangelo at least, Carrara marble was valued above all else, except perhaps that of his own quarry in Pietrasanta. Marble Arch in London and the Duomo di Siena are also made from this well regarded stone.
Lucca Why not take a trip to Lucca. A charming town bustling with life and local produce. An array of appetizers and light refreshments whether it’s a pianni or icecream. Leisurely walks through the streets and spectacular views laced with colourful houses with terrocotta rooftops and a distant display of mountains.
Tuscany is also often considered the birthplace of the Italian Renaissance
